Santa Letters

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know we did! Now it's on to Christmas, and if you are anything like me, you are already in full Christmas swing. Thanksgiving decor is already down, and Christmas decor is up. Writing letters to Santa was one of the fun traditions I remember as a kid. With that in mind I made these cute letters to Santa and from Santa.

Enjoy!

M&M Turkey Favors

Found these cute guys over at The Party Animal Blog, what a cute craft idea for the kiddos for tomorrow, and a great treat bag to take home too!

These can be made in a pinch if you need a last minute idea for Turkey Day for the kids. Another great thing is that they are budget friendly with the supplies being so minimal.

Here is a step-by-step on how you can create tehse treats, and who doesn't love M&M's right?!

Items needed:
M&Ms of course - Fall color mix of regular and /or add in a small amount of peanut M&Ms too.
Brown Netting
Pipe Cleaners - Fall colors, brown, orange, red, & yellow
Goggle eyes
Glue Dots
Small Rubber Bands
Scissors
See how minimal it is? Simple and easy!

The first step is creating your turkey head. For this you will need a brown, orange & red pipe cleaner. Pipe cleaners are so easy to work with and if you make a mistake you junt bend it back. So, starting with the brown - cute it in half, roll the top edge down a bit for the head. Then take your orange and feed through the head and bend it and cut off excess. Fold up and form your beak. Then taking the red do the same above the beak, but leave a piece sticking down for the snood and cut.

Then take your brown pipe cleaner boday and fold up one more time so it is double and give it a twist. Now take your glue gots and add on your google eyes. Set aside. Next is time to create the turkeys feet. Take a yellow pipe cleaner and start by folding up some toes - make 3 of them. Cut some of the excess leg off the top so you have about 3 inches left. Set aside.

Now cute some 12"x12" squares from you netting. Measure out about 1/2 cup of you M&Ms for the middle. Once M&Ms are placed, close with your rubber band.

Assemble time!! Cut off the excess netting, but leaving enough to resemble your turkeys tail feathers. Then just stick you turkey body into the netting on the front. No glue needed - it will stay there. Then stick in your turkey feet the same way and you are done!! How simple is that?!

Here they are ready for Thanksgiving for the kiddos to have and gobble up!

Thanksgiving Coloring Sheet

I ran across this cute free download over at The TomKat Studio, from Paper Glitter. Thought it was absolutely adorable and perfect for the kids table on Thrusday. What a great way to keep them busy while you are busy in the kitchen. It also allows them to write down what they are thankful for.

Thanksgiving Kid Table Ideas

Thanksgiving - what a wonderful time of year. We all come together with our loved ones and give our thanks...oh and eat WAY to much! When I think back to Thanksgivings as a kid, I remember us at our table and the adults at their table. We didn't have a fun decorated table like this, but we still managed to crave up some fun, maybe a tad to much, since we'd tend to get in trouble. I recently ran across some adorable ideas for kids tables and thought I'd share because they are just too amazing not to.

The first set of pictures where put together by Lisa Storms on the Fiskars wibsite. You'll find everything to help you recreate this adorable table for next Thursday.

The creative turkey idea comes from Brittany at One Charming Party. You can find amazing party ideas there. That turkey you see there...it's actually a bag of popcorn!! Amazing right?! Here is a photo recap of the "how to" but head over One Charming Party for more in depth directions oh how to recreate this turkey yourself. You can also fund more details about the party there. Like how to prepare all the details on the table. Like the corn on the cob on the table...and guess what's inside...yeap, goodies! To cute!

Homemade Shaped Crayons

I've been wanting to try this for some time now. So, I stopped in at the Dollar Tree last night and picked up some cute silicone ice cube trays. Went though the crayon bin at home, grabbed all the broken ones. Took all the wrappers off and put them in the trays, and melted them in a preheated oven at 250 degrees.

When they were all melted, I carefully took them out of the oven and stuck them in the freezer to set. After that, they were easy to pop on out and use.

P.S. muffins tins work too!

The holidays are just around the corner and I can hardly stand it! :) I just love this time of year; all the craft fairs, yummy food, long days with family and friends, holiday home decor, fun ideas of crafts to make, and especially baking with my daughter. For some reason it just puts a skip in my step.

While checking in on the many of blogs I like to follow, I came across these cute little guys - adorable I know!

These yummy treats would be fun for a family party, classroom treats, or small gift. To get the in on how to make these cute Reindeer Pops, head on over to The Idea Room where youll find a link to her guest blog on I {heart} Naptime.

I already have my print out, Rae and I will have so much fun making them, being a peanut butter and chocolate lover....I know they'll be pretty tasty!
